It's hard to beat traditional apple pie and the only difficult thing about this recipe is choosing what to serve it with!

Bramley Apple Pie

Bramley Apple Pie by Lurpak

1. To make the pastry, use your fingertips to rub the Lurpak® into the flour and salt until you get course breadcrumbs. Carefully pouring in small amounts of water, use a knife to bind the dough together. Wrap in cling and leave to cool in the fridge for 30 minutes.
2. Cut the pastry in half and roll out into two rounds. Place one round onto a pie plate, place the sliced apples in the middle and sprinkle with sugar. Dampen the edges of the pastry then cover with the other half of the pastry. Press the edges with a fork, lightly brush all over with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
3. Bake at 200°C for 30 to 40 minutes, until golden.
4. Serve warm with your choice of cream, ice cream or custard.
