Cinnamon French Toast with Citrus by Lurpak

1. In a shallow dish beat together the eggs and milk. Then, stir in the cinnamon and 3 tsp of the sugar. Add the bread and turn over in the egg mixture until it’s all soaked up.
2. In a bowl beat together 50g of Lurpak® the zest and the remaining sugar. Set aside.
3. Heat what’s left of the Lurpak® in a large non-stick frying pan until it’s bubbling. Fry the eggy bread for a couple of minutes on each side until golden.
4. Once cooked put 2 pieces of toast on each plate and top with a spoonful of zesty Lurpak to serve.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 thick slices of bread, cut in half diagonally
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 60g Lurpak® Spreadable Unsalted
  • Zest of ½ orange
  • Zest of ½ lime
