This is a cake more than a pudding and can be eaten hot or cold.

Bread Pudding

Bread Pudding by Joyce Olsen

1. Soak the bread in water for at least 30 minutes.
2. Squeeze out all the water.
3. Add the dry ingredients, melted Lurpak®, egg and milk. Mix well.
4. Put in greased pie dish and cook for 30 minutes on Gas Mark 6.

Ingredients

  • 8oz stale bread
  • Cold water
  • 3oz currants or sultanas
  • 2oz sugar
  • ½ tsp mixed spice
  • 3oz Lurpak®
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
