Easy as Pie Blackberry & Apple Crumble by Lurpak
1. Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6.
To make the filling:
2. Cut the apples into six pieces, pare of the peel and slice out the cores. Cut each piece into thick 5mm slices.
3. Melt the Lurpak® in a saucepan that’s big enough to take all the fruit. Add the apple slices and gently sauté.
4. Add the sugar, ginger and cinnamon. Continue stirring until the apples are just cooked.
5. Add the blackberries to the apples and stir together very gently.
6. Spoon the apples and blackberries mixture into a shallow, oval 23cm/9in ovenproof dish and put to one side while you make the crumble topping.
To make the topping:
7. Put the flour, oats and sugar into a mixing bowl and and lightly rub in the Lurpak® until it resembles crumbs.
8. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the top of the fruit until it’s just covered.
9. Place the dish into the oven for 20-30 minutes until the crumble has gone a light, golden brown.
To serve:
10. Serve warm with custard, pouring cream or maybe a dollop of crème fraîche.

Please could you print pounds and ounces as well as grams,it would make my baking so much quicker and easier!! I made scones with Lurpak for the first time, from Mary Berry's cake book, they were light, and delicious, took to friends and made a cream tea, they said they were the best scones they have ever tasted! This crumble worked very well with Lurpak too, will use Lurpak more often. Please could you tell me if it is ok to freeze Lurpak, i hope so, i am trying to win a food processer,so there is some in the freezer now!!
