Salt & Pepper Breadsticks by Lurpak
1. Dust two large baking trays with flour and preheat the oven to 200ºC/400F/Gas 6.
2. Put the flour, yeast and the salt into a large bowl and add enough water to make a soft dough. Knead for 10 minutes by hand on a lightly floured work surface or for five minutes with an electric mixer.
3. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and roll into balls. Place each ball on a flour surface and roll out into a long, sausage-like shape.
4. Place the breadsticks on the baking trays and cover loosely with oiled clingfilm, making sure it is airtight. Leave for 30 minutes for the breadsticks to double in size.
5. Remove the clingfilm and brush each breadstick with the softened Lurpak® Sea Salt and sprinkle with the freshly ground black pepper.
6. Bake on the top third of the oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden-brown. Remove and from the oven and leave to cool on the baking trays.
